Additionally I took ownership in enhancing Credix’s technical foundation, I led key infrastructure improvements like IaC, CICD, leveraging cloud infrastructure and implementing cross-team Identity and Access Management (IAM) From solution design to stakeholder communication and hands-on implementation, I collaborated closely with the CTO and different teams to drive strategic architectural decisions.
As a co-founder and technical lead, I’m in charge of technology at Hugs. My main responsibilities are designing and building a blockchain protocol for decentralized crowdsourcing and a platform to make it accessible. Of course, I’m not doing this alone, I work together with a talented development team. Additionally, in the context of a startup it is important to find a good balance between product quality and speed of development. In this early stage, a company need to be able to be agile and make fast changes, which makes speed one of the most important factors in contrast to more established organisations.
As Solution Architect I’m responsible for creating technical solutions for a variety of Blockchain Projects, typically in the financial sector. Some of my daily tasks include: following up on new technologies, participate in interactive workshops with customers, create high-level architectures, design more detailed technical solutions. As Crypto and Blockchain Architect at Geens.com, I am the technical lead and architect of the self-sovereign identity project in collaboration with NEM. In this project I am responsible for the overall architecture, designing specific solutions and leading a development team. In addition, I create cryptographic solutions and system architectures for other Geens services like the end-to-end encrypted Cloud Storage.
Signd is a platform providing a B2C solution for sending digital registered mail. Together with another co-founder we founded this organization. My main achievements are: Designing and implementing the technical solution using Java Spring MVC, React and Google App Engine, and finding a pilot customer who is acting as an early adopter.
As part of the Professional Services team, I was responsible for the integration of a messaging interface solution (AMH) within large banks all over the world. In these international projects, I took the role of technical lead within teams of around 3-5 people. This means I was responsible for gathering customer requirements, designing solutions and leading the implementation of these solutions. As customer interaction was important in this role, I travelled to South-Africa, Singapore and Russia during this period.
As a firmware design engineer I am responsible for the firmware enhancement of the m2mbox 'Cloudgate' which is an embedded linux platform. The development takes place in a team of 20 using the Scrum framework. Bringing together team knowledge, personal experience and logical thinking to accomplish the company goals is the general mindset for this job.
The Future Leaders Academy is a program specifically designed to educate and prepare the next Future-fit Digital Leader. During this program I was able to improve my soft skills tremendously and got a better insight in what it means to take a leading role in a fast changing digital world.
I got to know Robbert during our time at IntellectEU. Once we started Credix, Robbert was one of the first people to call. Without much doubt, he joined the team. During his time at Credix, Robbert designed solutions to multiple, complex challenges. Not only did he come up with the architecture, he was also wearing the engineering hat when needed. He is a manager-of-one, only needs to be told things once, and will always deliver work of the highest quality. His wonderful personality makes him fit into any team.
Robbert is someone that even does not need a recommendation. He is professional, focused, highly skilled, the perfect buddy to have with you at a customer presentation and blessed with a lot of world and IT experience. On top he is a strong project owner/manager. A good listener asking the right questions to move things forward.
I worked with Robbert for more than two years. He was one of the engineers that I could fully trust on his technical skills as well as his abilities to manage client interactions. He quickly became the subject matter expert in the product. He was a highly responsible and a hard worker. He formed strong relations within the company and with the clients. After couple years in the team, he became instrumental in developing the skills of the younger engineers and provide coaching as well. I was sad to hear that he preferred to take new challanges outside of our domain. It would be hard to fill his position.
Robbert is one of the rare talents who stands out on technical, business and people skills. He’s a fast learner, not afraid to step out his comfort zone, modest, trustworthy and delivers excellent results. Next to that he is also a very kind person and just a great guy to have in your team.
I have no hesitation recommending Robbert. He was a great asset in the firmware development team of Option. He is a very fast and enthusiastic learner with a steep growing curve and lots of potential. With his great motivation, he has the right mindset to get the job done. Furthermore he is a good communicator, which makes it a pleasure to work with him.
